I am a clinical psychologist and founder of the Gut Brain Connection.

I work with those with gut health difficulties in both the NHS and in private practice, and am passionate about supporting people to live with better gut health and mental health.

In almost a decade working in gastroenterology, I have seen how little understanding exists about the link between the gut and the brain and how appropriate psychological support can help people to understand how their difficulties develop and how best to support them.

In my work with clients, I will mainly draw on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) or eye movement desensitisation and reprocessing (EMDR), but will work with you to find the approach that works best for you, to ensure that you can live the best version of your life.

I am a clinical psychologist specialising in gut health in both my private practice and in my NHS work at a world-renowned teaching hospital.

I have extensive post-qualification training in a number of therapeutic approaches, including CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Analytic Therapy, Compassion Focussed Therapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy and Eye Movement Desensitisation Reprocessing (EMDR).

In therapy, I work collaboratively with individuals to build an awareness of potential contributing factors which may impact on current difficulties to enable a freedom of choice about if or how to respond.

My aim is always to support individuals to develop the psychological knowledge, skills and confidence so that they may feel more equipped to approach difficulties they face in the future.

I am a clinical psychologist, working in both the NHS and private practice. I specialise in neurogastroenterology and supporting those with functional somatic symptoms

My wish and hope is to make therapies accessible and give people positive experiences of a helping relationship. I prioritise collaboration and patient choice as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing. My approach involves supporting people to reduce the potential shame and self-blame that can accompany seeking help and increasing a sense of safety between client and therapist in order to make best use of the therapeutic space together.
